Moving schools means moving one student record, not opening a second. Two school officials coordinate a release date, and the student must report to the new school by a deadline after it.

A student can carry fewer classes than full-time only when a school official authorizes it in advance, on one of a short list of grounds, and each ground carries its own limit.

An exchange visitor can move to a different sponsor when the change serves the same program objective and category. Two responsible officers coordinate it in the record system, and a new form is issued.

A wrong class of admission or admitted-until date on an entry record can be corrected, but the route depends on which agency created the record and where the mistake came from.
